Phyno is one of Africa’s biggest music stars, but he should have declined participation in the Roadblock music concert in Enugu, as it appears to undermine the efforts of rising artistes like Kolaboy, according to social influencer and philanthropist Okwuluora.
Okwuluora has criticised the Enugu State Government and popular Nigerian musician Phyno over what he described as an unfair development ahead of Kolaboy’s scheduled concert in Enugu.
In a Facebook statement addressed to the Enugu State Government and Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Okwuluora condemned the alleged announcement of a roadblock barely a day before Kolaboy’s event, describing it as harmful to the concert’s logistics and overall success.

He explained that essential preparations such as stage construction, lighting, and sound checks would be negatively affected by the late notice, particularly as both Kolaboy’s concert and another major show are reportedly scheduled at the same venue and target a similar audience.

Okwuluora further argued that hosting similar events on consecutive days - on the 20th and 21st-would make it difficult for fans to attend both shows. He maintained that Phyno, whom he described as one of Africa’s biggest artistes, should have rejected any arrangement that could potentially overshadow Kolaboy, a fast-rising artiste from the same region.
According to him, rather than supporting emerging talent, Phyno allegedly contributed to the challenges facing Kolaboy’s event. Okwuluora also recalled that Phyno had earlier announced “Phyno Fest” for November 8 but later cancelled it, only for the current controversy to emerge, which he described as unfair.
Drawing a comparison, Okwuluora cited a recent instance where Davido publicly reached out to Martell to secure an endorsement for Efe, noting that established artistes should support and uplift upcoming talents instead of frustrating their progress.
