Socialite, Cubana ChiefPriest, has responded back at billionaire businessman, Cosmas Maduka, who at a recent public speech berated him and others who go about shouting ‘’Money na water'' as a way to make people know they are wealthy.
Maduka while speaking, said
‘’“Show me any wealthy man that has talked about ‘’money na water''. I’ve never heard Tony Elumelu say ‘money na water,’ I’ve never heard Femi Otedola say it, and I’ve never said it myself. When I attend a function and you start showing that madness of throwing money on people, I behave like I am going to the toilet. You will not see me again because these are the bad cultures and value systems that we have learnt.
When we were growing up, rich people didn’t make noise. All these people making noise today never made real money. If you make money, it makes you humble. It makes you keep quiet.
We’ve embraced a deadly culture and we are using it to train our children. Those things should stop.'

Chiefpriest has now responded to him. In his response, the socialite justified the reason for always saying ‘’Money na water''. According to him, gone are the days where real capital was based on owning factories and solid assets. He said in this era, visibility is the new capital. According to him, making noise and sustaining it helps to grow wealth and that anything that is not publicized in this era dies slowly. He said his comments''money na water'' is not in anyway a vain comment but one of excess liquidity and flow'' He argued that content is not noise and that just as factories gave wealth in the 80s, attention and visibility is the present day oil well that gives wealth.
He argued that Maduka does not in anyway belong to the leagues of billionaires like the Otedolas and Elumelus that he mentioned.
Cubana chiefpriest went ahead in saying more to Maduka, explaining to him that we're now in the digital era, and he gives credits to Mark Zuckerberg.
